Starting back in 2009, the Community Food Shelf was the first thing established by Neighbors Helping Neighbors and still runs strong today. The food shelf is kept stocked with the help of community donations and grants awarded to purchase food from the Vermont Foodbank, as well as the community garden located on the property  during the summer and fall seasons.

 Northeast Kingdom Neighbors Helping Neighbors Community Food Shelf is a once a month food shelf ran out of Rural Edge's Mountain View property's community room in St. Johnsbury. The food shelf runs the third Thursday of every month from 4 pm to 6 pm (unless otherwise noted). The Food shelf is open to all residents of the Northeast Kingdom. We only ask that you bring your own bag if possible.
